Do it now: Welcome to The Potting Shed

Im wondering if I put on my To Do list last year "open a business"..... if so , well here it is.

I'm too damn busy to write this blog any more - but have to post up a quick photo of my new endeavor - "The Potting Shed".

We opened on Sunday - floors not painted, window not fixed, sign not up, but it didnt seem to matter!

As gardening gift store with vintage and antique items, soon to have a range of English gardening lovelyness for folk who like gardens, flowers, outdoors or bringing the outdoors indoors.... its all very exciting.

Thanks to my lovely friends Mike and Kerry, the owners of Heather Gardens garden center, who have allowed me to locate my little store at their premises and even gave me their neglected Potting Shed to do as I please. And all this came out of a conversation over a cup of tea and pizza back in February!! 

I cant really believe its happening.

Its Spring and life is good - and i dont even mind that its raining outside!

Solid advice

My oldest brother, Mark, just left after a quick visit to see his little sis en-route back to London from Miami.  Thank god I have family to keep my on the straight and narrow and keep my feet on the ground. 

He served up lots of solid advice along with some good old fashioned giggles, including:

1.  Give what every you have decided to do your full attention, half measures don’t cut it.

2.  Become an eternal optimist and you won’t just think you are better off, you will be.

3. Ditch Facebook and similar crap and get on with making it happen. (ouch that hurt!).  Nothing replaces one on one face to face catch up with REAL friends.

4. Get focused on having some self worth in achievement.

5. Better to fail at something and learn from it, than do nothing at all.

All I could offer in return was a few packets of emergen-c immune boosters and some collidal silver.
